Business Analyst HYBRID (MUST BE IN THE OTTAWA AREA)

LOCATION: HYBRID (OTTAWA AREA)

Mandatory Skills

  • Must have a post-secondary diploma or degree from a recognized university or college in computer science or an information technology/management (IM/IT) related discipline. A copy of the diploma or degree must be provided in the bid proposal documents.
  • Must demonstrate using project descriptions that the proposed resource has a minimum ten (10) years of experience working on information technology projects.
  • Must demonstrate using project descriptions that the proposed resource has worked within an Agile development environment for a minimum five (5) years within the last seven (7) years.
  • Must demonstrate using project descriptions that the proposed resource has experience in preparing Business Requirement Documents for a minimum three (3) years within the last five (5) years.
  • Must demonstrate using project descriptions that the proposed resource has used Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) or DevOps to manage software defects and requirements for a minimum two (2) years within the last five (5) years.
  • Must demonstrate using project descriptions that the proposed resource has a minimum one (1) year of experience writing requirements for the development of components used on the OpenText TeamSite product formerly known as Interwoven.
  • Must demonstrate using project descriptions that the proposed resource has experience defining requirements for a multi-lingual Web Content Management System (WCMS) that comprise of three (3) or more languages.
  • Must demonstrate the proposed resource has a certification as a Business Analyst. A copy of the certification must be provided in the bid proposal documents.
  • Must demonstrate the proposed resource has an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification. A copy of the certification must be provided in the bid proposal documents.


The scope of work of the Contract includes, but is not limited to:

The Business Analyst professional will be expected to execute the following tasks during this contract, but not limited to:

  • Analyze Website information architectures as required
  • Conduct work sessions with client groups to identify, define and consolidate and website requirements and service delivery processes
  • Develop requirements documentation for the WCMS and other mission critical applications.
  • Analyze current web environment – website designs, roles and responsibilities, current procedures, workflows, data types, and file formats.
  • Develop training materials required to support WET4 implementation and upgrade to the new vendor platform
  • Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and documentation of the results
  • Analyze requirements against WET4 templates to determine gap and determine options
  • Attend and organize meetings on a required basis.
