Dillon’s Mechanical & Electrical team is looking for a Project Manager to join our multidisciplinary team of professionals. You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects while providing clients with a fully integrated and superior customer experience.

Responsibilities
What your day will look like
Project Management
- Manage a high volume of single and multidisciplinary projects for both public and private sector clients across the company, with particular emphasis on heavy industrial facilities
- Contribute to project management leadership within the firm
- Provide project leadership throughout design from concept to detailed design and on-site services through construction from contract award to commissioning and warranty.
- Complete project follow-up discussions with clients and provide frequent feedback to project team members
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Complete business development activities such as proposal preparation and review, and financial reporting.
- Attend client meetings
- Travel to client locations and/or other Dillon offices for the purposes of executing your responsibilities, internal client relationship development, project research and project delivery
- Lead the implementation of innovative and strategic approaches to project delivery and business development
- Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development
- Input to the career development of junior staff, including direction in project management, training recommendations, coaching, and mentoring
- Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees
What you will need to succeed
- A degree in engineering
- Licensed to practice as a professional engineer or eligible to be licensed within six months
- Project Management Professional certification is an asset
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience
- Working knowledge of industrial, commercial and institutional building processes
- Strong understanding of building plumbing, drainage, service piping systems, heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems, electrical power distribution, lighting and telecommunications systems.
- Proven success managing projects from design through construction administration.
- Development of design team leadership with the ability to create and manage design budgets, client deliverables and project schedules
- Experience in:
- the consulting environment
- design of buildings and facilities for government
- developing and maintaining strong client relationships
- construction contracts
- Demonstrated ability to develop proposals
- Demonstrated ability to prepare capital construction cost estimates
- Strong technical report and specification writing skills
