Irving Shipbuilding is seeking a Warehouseperson, Woodside Industries, Local 73 for current and future opportunities.
Responsibilities
- To take delivery of materials delivered to Woodside Industries with the use of forklifts and other material handling equipment where required.
- Receiving, picking, packaging, and labeling of all shipments according to industry practices and using WMS (Warehouse Management System)
- Utilizing company specific software, field devices, and paperwork to maintain accurate inventory information.
- Load, unload and move materials within or near plant, warehouse, storage facility or worksite.
- Perform inventory counts using the company ERP software.
- Update computer system to enable accurate stock levels.
- Perform material marshalling and follow through with any discrepancies that arise
- Receive and ship parts in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Visually inspect product and reconcile all incoming documents
- Maintain shipping, receiving and kitting area while following safety guidelines and procedures.
- Minimum of two years of experience maintaining a computerized inventory control system and performing data entry
- Minimum of two years of experience operating forklift
- Computer literacy – experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Self-starter with the ability to complete tasks effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Work well independently and with others in a team environment
- Ability to work shift work as required.
- Superior organizational skills
