Key Elements Of This Role Include

  • The successful candidates for these positions will be the key point of contact for the electrical contractor network within Nova Scotia.
  • The incumbent’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • navigating the applications associated with permitting and inspection.
    • creating and managing contractor records.
    • creating and managing permits (including editing, cancelling and refunding of outstanding and expired permits).
    • scheduling inspections, discussing fees, and generating and sending reports.
You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of your co-workers by observing all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.

These Skills Will Make You Successful

  • This position requires a minimum of Grade 12 education.
  • Previous experience with Wiring Inspections and/Wiring Permits will be considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with various software applications including Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
  • A detailed-oriented individual, working to a high standard and level of accuracy is what this position needs, and the incumbent will have strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer service experience is required.
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and strong communications skills for voice service are required.
  • The ability to expedite with urgency and manage high peaks and volumes is required.
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
