The Opportunity
JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Exploitation Technologist, you have an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Exploitation Engineering team on a wide variety of projects. This role will provide administrative and technical support for the Exploitation team, with our vast assets in the Western Canada area, as well as maximizing value from conventional fields, and optimizing asset retirement.

JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Exploitation Technologist, you have an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Exploitation Engineering team on a wide variety of projects. This role will provide administrative and technical support for the Exploitation team, with our vast assets in the Western Canada area, as well as maximizing value from conventional fields, and optimizing asset retirement.
- Job location: Calgary, Alberta
- Shift schedule: 5 x 2, 8-hour shifts
- Safety sensitive position: No
- Application deadline: November 29, 2024
- Build, support and maintain multiple data processes and performance optimization tools using Tableau, PowerBI, Excel, Access and others
- Set up and manage systems to collect and track production, new well performance, completions and reservoir data, and GHG emissions
- Recommend improvements to data systems in place
- Work with other teams to integrate data systems and champion a more consistent approach to data management amongst teams
- Track drilling and workover activity
- Prepare, manage and submit government reports and applications including
- Disposal Wells
- Government Funding Applications
- Enhance efficiency through preparation of maps in Accumap
- Review well histories and support well reviews
- Typically 2+ years of industry experience with a post-secondary diploma in Petroleum Technology, or B.Sc. in Computer Science or Information Management, or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills
- Familiar with oil and gas production, exploitation, exploration processes
- Familiarity with analytics visualization using Tableau and/or Power BI
