Intermediate Architectural Technologist

MatchBox Consulting Group is looking for an Architectural Technologist in Calgary, AB. Our client is a distinguished Calgary-based homebuilder renowned for crafting personalized, energy-efficient homes that cater to diverse lifestyles. With a commitment to quality and innovation, they offer a variety of house models, including paired and single-storey homes, as well as larger three-storey designs. Their adaptable process allows for unique modifications to floorplans, ensuring each home reflects the homeowner's individual preferences.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate CAD working drawings and plot plans for construction.
• Coordinate with developers to meet architectural guidelines and secure approvals.
• Work with suppliers, vendors, and field staff to resolve drawing discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and bylaws, and manage building permit applications.
• Organize and maintain drafting documents in the system.

Requirements

• Proficiency in CAD and producing construction drawings.
• Knowledge of architectural guidelines, building codes, and permitting processes.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with developers, suppliers, and authorities.
• Detail-oriented and adaptable to handle change requests and approvals.
• Ability to manage and organize drafting-related documentation efficiently.
