Analyst

As an analyst on the Segregation and
Buy-ins team in the National Bank Financial Markets Operations family, you will
work in a stimulating environment focused on collaboration and innovation. This
job will allow you to contribute to the organization’s performance and develop
strong links with our internal and external partners.

Your
job :

• Ensure our clients' fully paid securities are segregated to
  keep them separate from other securities


• Carry out daily analysis of segregation deficiencies and remedy
  them within the regulatory deadlines


• Manage all buy-ins for Canadian and U.S. brokers


• Apply rule 204 of Regulation
  SHO from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)


• Issue notices of redemption in a timely manner and complete
  redemptions within prescribed time frames


• Work closely with key partners to ensure operational and
  regulatory standards are met

Prerequisites

• Completed three-year college diploma or academic equivalent and
  four years of relevant experience, or bachelor's degree in a related field


• Strong interest in regulation, securities and capital markets


• Knowledge of applicable regulations, an asset


• Proficiency with ISM tools (OSS), MAX/Arrow, AS400, CDS, and
  DTC, an asset


• A self-starter with strong analytical skills and the ability to
  summarize information


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
