Deloitte’s OperateNext - Finance as a Service practice supports our clients by operating their controllership and related accounting processes such as procure to pay, order to cash, record to report, intercompany, and fixed assets (all Business Process Outsourcing or “BPO” activities related to the accounting team – Business Process Outsourcing) in a managed services environment. We bring together the best in Deloitte, including finance transformation expertise, technology, and the accounting team to run these functions on behalf of our clients. By addressing challenges such as back-office finance functions, transactional reporting, ERP implementations, and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) solutions, we provide services that combine specialized talent, innovative tools, and industry expertise.
Through a hybrid shared service model, we help organizations reduce costs, enhance financial insights, and build a foundation for sustainable business growth. Our solutions integrate automation, analytics, and advanced technology to empower better decision-making, streamline operations, and foster continuous improvement.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking an accomplished Director to lead delivery excellence in Deloitte’s OperateNext Finance & Accounting BPO offerings in Canada. This role focuses on delivering high-quality financial transformation and BPO projects, optimizing client operations, and embedding innovative technologies and practices into their finance functions.
As a director, you will oversee complex engagements, ensuring alignment with client goals while driving operational improvements and transformative outcomes. Your ability to deliver high-value BPO solutions, manage risk, and foster collaboration will be critical to success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development: You will develop and implement strategies to expand Deloitte’s OperateNext Finance and BPO offerings and strengthen its presence in the Canadian market. By aligning Deloitte’s capabilities to client needs, you will identify opportunities for enterprise-level BPO engagements and create tailored solutions to support their operational and strategic objectives.
- Delivery Leadership: In this role, you will oversee the design and execution of Finance & Accounting transformation and BPO projects, focusing on areas such as back-office finance operations, transactional reporting, ERP and other software implementations that optimizes accounting operations, and operational efficiency of people and processes. By embedding automation, analytics, and innovative BPO models, you will deliver measurable improvements in client processes and outcomes.
- Operational Transformation: You will partner with clients to assess their current finance operations, identify opportunities for BPO-driven efficiency improvements, and implement solutions that streamline processes, enhance reporting accuracy, and enable data-driven decision-making. Your leadership will help clients prepare for scalable growth while optimizing their finance and BPO environments.
- Risk Management & Governance: You will proactively identify risks and establish governance frameworks to ensure compliance, accountability, and quality across all BPO engagements. By navigating complex challenges and mitigating potential risks, you will maintain alignment with client objectives and drive successful project execution.
- Collaboration & Integration: You will foster collaboration across Deloitte’s practice areas, leveraging specialized capabilities to deliver comprehensive and integrated BPO solutions. Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, you will ensure alignment, transparency, and sustained success throughout engagements.
- Continuous Improvement: By embedding a culture of innovation, you will identify opportunities for long-term improvements and guide clients in adopting advanced technologies and BPO practices. Your focus on sustainable transformation will position clients for ongoing success in their finance operations.
- Delivery Expertise: You have proven experience running accounting operations in a shared services environment, either within industry for larger corporations or have experience running managed services within a professional services environment in large ERP systems such as SAP Oracle and Workday. You bring proven experience in leading complex Finance & Accounting transformation within an accounting team, with deep expertise in back-office finance operations, transactional reporting, ERP and other software implementations to bring efficiency and reduce costs of running finance and accounting functions, and automation. Your ability to design and execute high-impact solutions will be critical to delivering exceptional client outcomes which include your ability to map accounting processes to the appropriate technology in a high internal controls environment and deliver quality results from your accounting team.
- Leadership & Collaboration: With a strong background in managing cross-functional teams and aligning diverse stakeholders, you excel at building trust and driving collaboration. Your ability to engage with clients at all levels and maintain alignment with their strategic objectives sets you apart as a trusted advisor.
- Risk Management: You possess a keen ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, ensuring the delivery of quality outcomes from accounting teams. Your experience in establishing governance structures and strong internal controls ensures accountability and compliance.
