The Opportunity:
We are a seeking dedicated and hardworking individual to join our Port Facilities team as a full-time Labourer. In this dynamic and hands-on role, you will be an essential part of our daily Port operations, ensuring the efficiency and safety of our port facilities, and coordinating maintenance services with various stakeholders. QualificationsYou Have:
- High School Diploma is a minimum educational standard; college or trade training is considered an asset.
- Minimum of two to four years of related maintenance and/or construction experience.
- Transport Canada, Marine Transportation Security Clearance or eligible to receive.
- Valid Driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
- The ability to perform medium to heavy lifting tasks and other physical tasks both indoors and outdoors

Your Focus:
- Adhere to all health and safety requirements, including participation in the health and safety program, complete daily field level risk assessments and wear the required PPE.
- Provide general maintenance including, landscaping, painting, small construction projects, set up/tear down temporary fencing, etc.
- Perform construction or carpentry projects as required
- Perform basic welding, plumbing, electrical support as required
- Perform other port maintenance activities such as: deliver ships water, snow removal, ladder and fender maintenance, gangway maintenance and other activities as required.
- Provide direction and guidance to the student and casual workers when needed.
- Provide general support and basic maintenance and repair for work boat operations.
- Set up for events and support the cruise season operation
- Ensure washroom facilities are up to port standards during cruise and events.
- Safely operate the FMT gangways during cruise season. Respond and troubleshoot alarms.
- Recommend ongoing improvements regarding maintenance operations to management.
- Manage competing priorities to ensure safe and secure operations.
- Utilize collaboration and communication techniques to work with peers.
