We're looking for a Video Content Strategy Manager to join our dynamic team and responsible for overseeing the development, production, and strategic distribution of video and photographic content across multiple platforms. This role combines creativity, leadership, and strategic thinking to drive customer engagement, increase brand visibility, and support business goals. The ideal candidate is an expert storyteller with a proven ability to lead a team and develop content strategies that resonate with target audiences. They will manage the creation of a wide range of video and photo content, ensuring that each piece aligns with the company’s creative vision and objectives.

Creative Leadership & Content Strategy:

  • Lead Video & Photography Strategy: Collaborate with the Creative Director and cross-functional teams to develop and execute a comprehensive video and photography content strategy aligned with the company’s marketing, sales, and branding goals.
  • Content Ideation & Innovation: Spearhead the development of innovative content concepts, including videos, photos, and multimedia storytelling, ensuring they resonate with target audiences and meet business objectives.
  • Brand Storytelling: Lead the team in telling compelling, on-brand stories through both video and photography that drive customer engagement, loyalty, and purchase behavior. Ensure all content reflects the company’s voice and values.
  • Stay Current with Trends: Keep the team informed of emerging trends in video production, photography, and content creation to ensure strategies remain fresh and ahead of industry shifts.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Team Management: Lead a team of video and photography professionals, including videographers, photographers, editors, and designers. Provide creative direction, mentorship, and ongoing support to ensure high-quality video and photo content is consistently produced.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Social Media, and Design teams to align video and photography content with overarching marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotions.
  • Project Coordination: Oversee the entire production process for both video and photo shoots, from pre-production planning (scripting, storyboarding, shot lists) to post-production (editing, review). Ensure that all content is delivered on time and meets high standards of quality.

Video and Photography Production & Execution:

  • Video & Photo Production Oversight: Manage the production of 32 videos and photographic assets per month, including:
    • Product review videos and photos
    • User-generated content videos and photos
    • Behind-the-scenes videos and photography
    • Product teasers, demos, and photo shoots
    • Quick educational tips in video and photography format
    • Influencer collaboration videos and photos
    • Images for websites, blogs, affiliate ads
  • Quality Control: Ensure all video and photo content meets the brand’s standards for quality, messaging, and creative direction. Review and approve all video and photo drafts to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Content Optimization: Tailor video and photography content for each platform (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, etc.), ensuring optimal performance by adhering to best practices for format, length, and audience engagement strategies.
Analytics & Performance Monitoring:

  • Track Content Performance: Monitor and analyze key performance metrics for both video and photographic content, such as views, engagement rates, shares, and conversions. Use data to assess the effectiveness of content strategies and optimize future content.
  • Refine Strategies: Use insights and analytics to continuously improve video and photography strategies, ensuring that content stays relevant and continues to drive engagement.
  • Report on Results: Regularly report on video and photo performance, key insights, and recommendations to senior leadership, showcasing how content contributes to broader business objectives.

Budget & Resource Management:

  • Manage Production Budget: Oversee the video and photography production budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to maximize impact while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Vendor & Freelance Management: Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, or freelancers as needed to fulfill specialized production requirements (e.g., specialized photography, advanced video effects).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Photography, Media, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in video and photography content production, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proven experience in video and photography strategy: A strong portfolio showcasing previous work in video production, photography, and content strategy, with an ability to demonstrate creative leadership.
  • Strong storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into compelling visual narratives through both video and photography.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with video and photography production tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, and other relevant software. Understanding of social media platforms and best practices for video and photography optimization across different channels (e.g., YouTube, Instagram, TikTok).
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and manage a team while fostering collaboration across departments.
  • A portfolio showcasing client work in both video and photography, demonstrating creative and high-quality content production.

Preferred:

  • Experience in data-driven content strategies: Familiarity with using analytics to guide video and photography strategies and improve content performance.
  • Experience with influencer marketing and integrating influencers into both video and photography campaigns.
  • Knowledge of content performance tools (Google Analytics, YouTube Analytics, Instagram Insights, etc.).
