We are looking for a temporary part-time Drug Access Coordinator (DAC) to join our dedicated Supportive Care Services, South team based at the Arthur J.E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre. As an Oncology Drug Access Coordinator, you'll help patients navigate financial barriers to access their prescribed cancer treatments. You'll collaborate with healthcare providers, private clinics, insurance providers, and financial assistance programs to coordinate chemotherapy and other treatments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Helping patients access oncology treatments despite insurance or formulary barriers.
- Staying up to date on funding options, drug plan submissions, and assistance programs.
- Supporting the coordination of timely delivery of chemotherapy and treatments.
- Streamlining processes using your knowledge of insurance plans and hospital protocols.

Required Qualifications:
- Some post-secondary education.
Additional Required Qualifications:
- Minimum two years’ of cancer care experience (working in a hospital or clinic).
- Minimum two years working experience as a unit clerk, secretary or administrative assistant.
- A degree or diploma in a health-related discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medical Office Assistant and/or Unit Clerk diploma.
- Pharmaceutical knowledge.
- Medical Terminology certification/education.
- Pharmacy Technician education and experience.
- Experience using Connect Care and completed education: Referrals Management.
- Experience using RightFax.
