Revenue Accounting & Invoicing Specialist

Our Calgary client is seeking a Specialist, Revenue Accounting & Invoicing to join their Operations Financial Services team. An ideal candidate will ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial statements accordance with industry regulations and reporting requirements. The position is contract with an expected term of 6 months.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

• Review of monthly journal entries in accordance with IFRS 15, US GAAP
• Assist with and review scorecard variance analysis and narratives related to current month revenue and volumes
• Review monthly revenue invoicing in accordance with contractual terms
• Review comprehensive models to determine monthly and annual settlements
• Review complex revenue accounting models
• Liaise with key members of the division including Business Planning, Logistics, and Commercial Services to ensure the accuracy of revenue entries recorded and invoicing
• Seek and lead opportunities for process improvement
• Contribute to special projects as required
  
  

Your strengths include:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• CPA, CA, CMA, CGA designation
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working on projects and ability to manage multiple competing demands under tight deadlines
• Proven experience with and understanding of IFRS 15, would be an asset
• Strong expertise with MS Office tools, particularly Excel
• Experience with SAP, PowerBi, and software implementation would be considered an asset
• Experience in oil and gas, and specifically midstream/pipeline industry would be considered an asset.
