This opportunity is for a full-time on-site role for an ICS OT Security Specialist at RidgeTech Automation Inc. in Cambridge, ON.


The ICS OT Security Specialist will be responsible for cybersecurity measures, physical security assessments, network security protocols, information security audits, and effective communication on security issues. The successful candidate will also be involved in SCADA, Application and Database design as they contribute to RidgeTech Automations service offerings.


Job Summary

  • Oversee and implement cybersecurity, network security, and information security
  • Configure firewalls, switches, routers, and other applicable hardware
  • Evaluate, audit, implement and consult on security measures
  • Execute physical topology assessments and evaluate communication skills
  • Diagnose issues and provide solutions to improve security and systems within the OT environment
  • Communicate and consult on network security protocols, requirements, and risks


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years experience working within an industrial/manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent field
  • Eligible to Work in Canada and abroad with a Valid Class G Driver’s License & access to a reliable vehicle


Skills & Competencies

  • Cybersecurity, Network Security, and Information Security skills
  • Previous experience configuring firewalls, switches, and routers
  • Proven Physical Security and Communication skills
  • Experience in evaluating and implementing security measures
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Possess Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage tasks and time efficiently, independently and as a part of a team
  • Certifications in cybersecurity or related fields (e.g., CISSP, CEH) are an asset
  • Experience with Java, HTML, Python, Visual Basic, and/or database programming are an asset
  • Proven experience in an industrial automation environment with familiarity of PLC’s, HMI and other automation devices as they apply to the OT network

Working Conditions

  • This is a full-time position at 40-44 hours per week, additional hours based on client requirements will be compensated according to company policy.
  • Team Members must be able to work from the office in Cambridge, Ontario.
  • Work hours will depend on assigned work. Client requirements may require specific hours.
  • Office hours are typically 8:00am – 4:30pm. Flex hours available as projects allow.
  • After hours or weekends, on site client support may be required.
  • Travel to client facilities abroad may be required
