Title: Regional Communications Generalist
Salary: $72,841 - $91,051 - $100,156 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)
Location: Prince George, BC, located on the ancestral territories of the Lheidli T’enneh Nations - Onsite
About The Role
As a Regional Communications Generalist, you will play a key role in delivering comprehensive communications services, while developing and implementing strategies that reflect regional priorities. Collaborating closely with the provincial communications team through a Community of Practice, you will provide advisory support and ensure alignment between regional and provincial functions. Reporting directly to regional management, you will help ensure that regional perspectives are incorporated into all communications.

The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have/be –
Education & Experience
- A university degree in Communications or Public Relations, and/or 3-4 years of communications or public relations experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven track record for executing high quality communication plans and materials
- Demonstrated experience working with BC First Nations Communities
- Strong understanding of health-related issues, particularly those affecting First Nations communities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information into audience-appropriate materials.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse individuals and groups, demonstrating initiative and flexibility in changing environments.
- Skilled in identifying concerns, addressing gaps, and building positive relationships through effective problem-solving.
- Creative thinker who adapts well to challenges and changes, contributing innovative solutions.
