Overview

Conduit HR is a HR firm specializing in recruitment services and human resources consulting support. We are based in the GTA and serve clients across the nation. Our client in the construction industry provides infrastructure maintenance services and products and has developed strong competencies in operations, execution, engineering, customer service, highways, bridge maintenance, traffic control, safety & maintenance and project management. They are seeking a talented and motivated Apprentice Licensed Mechanic with a passion for automotive repair and maintenance, with a strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance.
  • System diagnostics and repair mechanical issues
  • Full automotive troubleshooting and testing.
  • Continuously expanding your knowledge for new technologies and practice.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations, and with company policies and procedures
  • Perform daily equipment inspections, as well as identify and assist in correcting unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow in the shop
  • Must have your own tools.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience as an Apprentice License Mechanic
  • Excellent knowledge of trucks
  • Full automotive troubleshooting and testing
  • Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components

Working Location: On site/In person/full time position

Reporting Relationships: This position reports to the Assistant Manager and Shop Manager

Benefits: Full vacation and benefits -6 months after start date

Work Schedule

  • 10:00 am – 6:30 pm or 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
  • Monday to Friday
  • Flexible with schedules
  • On-call on weekends (occasionally)
