About the role

Reporting to the General Manager of our Agriculture Division, the Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the financial success of our farm’s operations. As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for providing financial support, assisting in financial analysis, and reporting. You will deliver key financial insights and work closely with the Westbow team to ensure the long-term financial health of our agriculture operations.

Annual Salary Range: $80,000- $100,000

What you’ll be doing

  • Collaborating and working directly with the General Manager to support financial operations of our farms.
  • Maintain and organize important financial documents, reports, and records, ensuring they are easily accessible and confidential.
  • Ensuring the farm is operating efficiently including monitoring costs, managing budgets and improving productivity and profitability.
  • Preparing, analyzing, and managing cashflows for farm operations.
  • Monitoring farm expenses and budgets through life cycle of project and producing monthly project cost/profitability reports.
  • Analyzing data and presenting results and recommendations clearly & concisely
  • Leading value added ad hoc projects, including process improvements, implementation, and analysis of KPIs and implementation of technology solutions.
  • Monitoring and adjusting systems and processes such as the management of feed costs and movement.
  • Providing organizational support including the prioritization of tasks, idea and thought management as well as pushing new projects and ideas forward.

What we’re looking for

  • 3+ years experience in an accounting, analysis, or reporting role
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • CPA designation is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and intermediate excel skills
  • Experience working on a dairy farm is considered an asset
  • Strong work ethic and a sense of responsibility and confidentiality
