Production Engineer/Technologist

Agilus is recruiting for a Production Engineer/Technologist in the Oil and Gas Sector in Calgary, Alberta.

As a Production Engineer/Technologist you support the optimization of assets to increase production while minimizing costs.

A Typical Day

• Work with asset team members (Development, Exploration, Land and Field Operations) to set, monitor, and meet production targets while optimizing production and maximizing value within operating budgets.
• Review production reporting and complete weekly managerial reporting on asset performance.
• Seek ways to improve revenue generation by optimizing base production and minimizing costs. Evaluate well and field performance and improve where possible with workovers, stimulations, and facility improvements.
• Support production/infrastructure issues and troubleshooting.
• Provide input into the forecast of production performance to predict revenues, identify problems and plan work programs.
• Provide technical support to production accounting.
• Assist with waterflood performance and analytics.
• Act as a liaison between field operations and Calgary staff, providing technical support to field operations and interface with staff specialists.
  
  

Successful Candidates Will Have

• 3-10 years of experience in production engineering, with past exposure to light oil assets.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Experienced with various approaches to production optimization, both conventional and non-conventional.
• Proven track record of production optimization.
