Location: Colonel Belcher, Complex Mental Health Nursing BW Hours: 62.00 FTE: 0.84 Shift: Days Shift Times: 0800-1615 Union: UNA Rate of Pay: $40.52 - $53.91 PCN: CBMHNC02

The Opportunity

This position provides professional clinical support to the interdisciplinary team. Functions in the role of expert clinician resource, clinical nursing leader and mentor to influence care delivered to clients. Promotes mutual respect and

trust when assisting team members to analyze and solve clinical problems. The majority of the time will be allocated to clinical practice with a smaller portion of the time allocated to quality improvement initiatives and oversight of projects. Other related duties as required, including working with the leadership team of the site on projects and initiatives.

Program Summary:

Complex Mental Health Care – a program providing comprehensive care for adults with complex behaviours, whose primary diagnosis includes mental illness, dementia or other cognitive disorders.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from a recognized nursing program;
• Bachelor's or Nursing required
• Master’s RN degree preferred
• Registration with CARNA or RPNAA required
  
  
  

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of recent nursing experience related to the program area
• Previous experience at the Nurse Clinician level
• Excellent clinical and assessment skills;
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational and excellent communication skills required
  
  
  

Program Specific Requirements:

• Mental health and psychiatry experience required
• Clinical training or certification in mental health required
