Overview
Lumentum is seeking an enthusiastic NPI Supplier Chain Analyst (Co-op / Intern) to join the Global Supply Chain organization that supports the Cloud and Networking Business Unit in Ottawa, Ontario. During your internship you will work closely with NPI Supply Chain PMs and Planners; learning and contributing to part parameter setups, material planning and build preparation during the NPI phase of programs. In addition to supporting an NPI program(s) you may have the opportunity to support some key initiatives / internal projects within NPI Supply chain or process and procedure updates.
The Opportunity
The term is expected to be 4mths (May-Aug’25) but depending on the co-op term requirements of the candidate and the business needs of Lumentum, 8ths (May-Dec’25) can be considered.
This position does offer some flexibility, so it will be a hybrid model with the expectation to be in the office 3days per week.
Responsibilities
The NPI Supplier Chain Analyst (Co-op / Intern) responsibilities would include but not be limited to the following:

Responsibilities
The NPI Supplier Chain Analyst (Co-op / Intern) responsibilities would include but not be limited to the following:
Item Setup and Procurement and Logistics
- Part setup in the ERP system (warehouse assignments, item pricing)
- Ensure materials are ordered (create PRs) in support of the build plan(s)
- Monitoring purchase orders, communicate with SCPMs / Planners and escalate as necessary
- Support the execution of material flow and transactions between sites / warehouse locations and CMs
- Support the material drive activities to meet NPI build and production ramp plans
- Support the development of risk buys plans
- Support the material disposition resulting from revision, AML and BOM updates
- Identify and contribute to improving current processes and procedures
- Contribute to internal NPI supply chain projects or initiates as assigned
- 3rd or 4th year: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics or Engineering
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical and good problem-solving abilities
- Detail orientated and organized
- Self-motivated, goal oriented and a team player
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP and PLM systems, working experience is preferred
- Knowledge of SharePoint and project/task management software tools, working experience is preferred
- You must be registered full-time or part time, in a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution
