The salary range for this position is CAD $59.56/Hr. - CAD $85.62/Hr.

Within the context of a client and family centred model of care and, in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values, and strategic directions of Providence Health Care, the position promotes a safe, respectful, and civil working environment for patients, residents, families, visitors and staff.

Reporting to the Executive Director, Projects, Planning and Facilities Management, the Director is accountable for providing operational leadership to Providence Health Care’s Clinical Support & Research Centre (CSRC) including management of CSRC leases and day-to-day operations of the building, ensuring a best-in-class level of service delivery to building occupants. The Director is the primary liaison for CSRC tenants, researchers, and staff.

The Director is also accountable for the overall strategic management of Providence Health Care’s extensive lease portfolio including responsibilities such as strategic planning, financial management, lease negotiations/renewals/compliance and conflict resolution.

Education and Experience

Master's Degree or equivalent plus ten (10) years recent related experience, which includes six (6) years of senior management in Real Estate and leadership roles in a large multi-site organization with responsibilities for the planning and development of capital and strategic plans or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Your Day to Day

  • Responsible for management of CSRC leases and day-to-day operations of the building, ensuring a best-in-class level of service delivery to building occupants.
  • Responsible for the direction and operations of the PHC Real Estate, Leasing & Property Management portfolios, including lease negotiations and conflict resolution.
  • Maintains up-to-date lease summaries/abstracts/term sheets for each leased property.
  • Provides leadership and oversight in the planning and day to day operations of services to drive operational excellence; ensures consistency with the strategic plans of PHC; establishes policies, procedures, and budgets; assists in formulating annual goals and objectives; ensures consistency with industry standards and accreditation bodies
  • Implements and monitors short- and long-range goals in support of the strategic plans in alignment with organizational and, where applicable, provincial strategic plans and principles.
  • Implements re-design and restructuring initiatives including adoption of best practices, to better integrate and streamline services, optimize quality, and ensure cost effectiveness; ensures appropriate quality and safety measures are in place.
  • Reviews tenant improvement proposals to ensure compliance with overarching CSRC design guidelines and applicable building codes/regulations, and to mitigate impact of construction activities on PHC and its tenants.
  • Develops and executes communication plan for tenants, researchers, and staff on building premises.
  • Assists in developing and implementing operating and leasing budgets including budget preparation, authorization control and reporting of expenditures, ensuring the efficient utilization of financial resources, within the objectives, plans, and established budgets.
  • Manages the financial resources to meet initiatives, goals, and targets of the strategic and operating plans; ensures short- and long-term planning occurs to effectively plan and implement both operating and capital expenditures.
  • Provides leadership, direction, and supervision to assigned team members, which includes fostering an environment that supports growth and success.
  • Acts as a liaison for external consultations with partners/interested parties and liaising with various levels of government.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
