THE ROLE
Imagine the excitement and ability to show off your skills in a deployed environment (overseas) for six months delivering exercise and reconditioning services to the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and partner nations. As a Reconditioning Specialist, you will enhance the overall morale and welfare of the troops deployed.
The role involves leading reconditioning programs for CAF members affected by medical conditions, improving their functional abilities. You will design specific programs that support reconditioning and prevent future injury and support your local team in providing training and professional development.
Additionally, you will assist with recreational activities, ensuring military personnel are mentally and physically ready for operations.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Current Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP) certification
- Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications
- Canadian citizenship
- Valid Canadian passport
- Valid Canadian driver’s license (Class G or Class 5)
Experience
- Development, coordination, and delivery of reconditioning and physical fitness programming
- Providing fitness counseling to clients with physical and/or mental injuries
- Coordinating and leading physical fitness evaluations
- Researching and conducting physical fitness education sessions
- Data collection, assessment, and report writing
- Establishing partnerships with professional contacts and organizations

Position Type
Civilian deployment contracts are 6 month terms with start dates within the next 2 years.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $36,425-$40,375 for six months
- Maximum 56 hours per week
- Tax-free allowance of up to $1,716 per month
