Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of production associates to ensure smooth operations and the achievement of production goals.
- Ensure that all team members meet production targets while adhering to standardized work practices.
- Provide continuous guidance, support, and feedback to enhance team performance, morale, and skill development.
- Ensure the team has the necessary tools and equipment to complete their tasks efficiently.
- Step onto the production line as needed to provide hands-on support and address any challenges that arise.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on internal vehicle reconditioning processes, including mechanical repairs, cosmetic restoration, and functional checks.
- Oversee the execution of mechanical repairs, cosmetic restoration, and feature enhancements to ensure adherence to company quality standards.
- Organize and manage the reconditioning workflow to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
- Allocate resources and manage team assignments to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with the Production Manager to adjust staffing and workflows to meet production demands and timelines.
- Ensure vehicles meet company standards through continuous inspections at each stage of the reconditioning process.
- Lead by example in adhering to safety protocols and regulatory compliance in the workplace.
- Address and resolve quality issues promptly, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Provide continuous training and development opportunities for the team to improve their skills and knowledge.
- Stay current on the standardized work provided.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Maintain regular communication with the Production Manager regarding team performance, production status, and any challenges.
- Prepare and submit progress reports on production metrics, quality control outcomes, and operational challenges.
- Foster a collaborative communication environment within the team, encouraging feedback and proactive problem-solving.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training or certification in automotive reconditioning or quality control is a plus.
- Minimum of a G2 Driver’s License (valid in Ontario).
- Clean driver’s abstract with no major infractions.
- Clean criminal background check.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Must be able to commute to Mississauga, Ontario.
- Minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with overtime as needed.
- Leadership:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor a team to meet production goals and maintain high-quality standards.
- Attention to Detail:
- Exceptional ability to identify cosmetic, mechanical, and functional discrepancies, ensuring high-quality vehicle reconditioning.
- Technical Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of vehicle systems, components, and reconditioning processes to assess vehicle condition and functionality.
- Tech Savvy:
- Proficient in using iPads and inspection software for documentation, with a solid understanding of technology in the production environment.
- Team Player:
- Works effectively with production, repair, and quality assurance teams to achieve collective goals and improve overall production performance.
- Problem-Solving:
- Ability to step onto the production line and resolve challenges as they arise, ensuring smooth operations.
- Physical Fitness:
- Ability to perform tasks requiring standing, bending, and light lifting for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Demands:
- Frequent movement, standing, and use of tools and equipment on the production line.
- Conditions:
- Work is conducted in both indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to machinery, vehicles, and varying environmental conditions.
