Scope of the Position:
Responsible for directing, maintaining, and controlling the branch location, monitoring policies and procedures in consultation with the Operations Manager/Director of Sales. Ensures daily performance objectives are met and contributes to the branch's goals and objectives while developing a quality team and customer base.
Major Responsibilities:
- Providing guidance, direction, and monitoring of internal staff.
- Ensuring staff training is up to date.
- Growing sales by developing, coaching, and motivating sales and support teams.
- Maintaining optimum inventory levels.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction meets operational standards.
- Participating in customer calls for sales and technical support.
- Assisting with warehouse and physical plant planning.
- Managing vendor relations and strategic planning.
- Participating in pricing maintenance and product training.
- Solving disputes among customers, staff, and the company.
- Developing key customer relationships through outside sales.
- Managing Inside Sales staff and administrative functions within the branch.
- Determining and tracking sales projections.
- Conducting weekly sales meetings.
- Addressing day-to-day personnel issues requiring manager decisions.
- Representing the company in the local and industry community.
Education & Training:
- High School Diploma required.
- College/University Diploma in Business, Sales & Marketing, or Technical focus preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
Experience:
- 5-7 years of related experience, preferably in Sales/Distribution, with previous Management experience required.
