As our innovative business continues to grow rapidly, we are seeking a Supply Chain Lead at our Richmond location. Reporting to the Director of Procurement and Marketing, this role works with procurement and production departments to maximize the business’ throughput and instock position. They will analyze operational performance and resolve issues, as well as collaborate with the buying and manufacturing teams to ensure all operations meet quality and safety standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements standards, and monitors Intercity Packers supply chain.
  • Plan and Forecast the Long Term solution to maintain the proper level / quantities, quality and food safety standard as well as the ideal use of Raw Materials.
  • Collaborates with Leadership teams on a regular basis regarding capacity planning, marketing intelligence, seasonal planning, product interchanges, etc.
  • Interact with the Marketing and Sales teams to review forecasts for product demand, as well as with the Operations / Production Teams; To not only support inbound requirements, but also to optimize inventory levels/costs and freight efficiency.
  • Managing and reporting KPIs, Monitor Fill Rates (Raw Material) and ensure the Customer orders are filled as well as Product Returns (Collaborate with QA on concerns - causes and corrective actions to avoid the issues happening again).
  • Assists in hedging and forward buy opportunities relating to inventory management.
  • Plan and execute production to fulfill all regulatory requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, operations, finance, quality assurance or another supply chain discipline.
  • Bachelors degree in business management, supply chain management, or a related field, is an asset.
  • Must have excellent analytical skills and be detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • This position also requires a professional demeanor, honesty, integrity, drive, tenacity, determination, and a willingness to learn.
