Corus’ Legal, Regulatory and Governance team is looking for a Real Estate & Corporate Law Clerk to assist our Real Estate & Corporate Legal teams. This is a 12-month contract role for a parental leave.

About the Role:
Corus’ Legal, Regulatory and Governance team is looking for a Real Estate & Corporate Law Clerk to assist our Real Estate & Corporate Legal teams. This is a 12-month contract role for a parental leave.
You will contribute by:
- Assisting with board materials and corporate governance matters.
- Complete all steps necessary to complete real estate transactions, including review of agreements and noting critical dates and deliverables.
- Effectively engaging and working with broad range of stakeholders internally and externally.
- Maintaining and enhancing Corus’ template and precedent library.
- Narrowing issues for external counsel on real estate and corporate transactions.
- Other related duties, as assigned.
- Providing support on corporate and securities transactions including statements of work, amendments, terminations, NDA’s and other ancillary agreements.
- Providing support on real estate transactions including leases, dispositions and licensing matters.
- Two to four years of related work experience in a law firm environment with experience in at least a few provinces.
- Completion of a diploma in Law Clerk or a related discipline – or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent in a real estate department, with complimentary experience in general corporate matters.
- Experience with regulated entities an asset (for example, CRTC or similar
- Enhanced understanding of the regulatory environment for corporate records and filing requirements.
- Membership in the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario an asset.
