Position Summary

River Rock Casino Resort is seeking a qualified individual interested in furthering their career as Houseperson. Under the general direction of the Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeping, this position is responsible for daily cleaning and maintenance of all areas of the hotel, this could be as a Floor Houseperson, a Runner, or a Public Area Houseperson. Other responsibilities include:

Duties and responsibilities for our Houseperson will include:

  • Vacuuming and maintaining cleanliness in hallways, ceiling vents, meeting rooms, and general public areas including the pool and fitness room
  • Cleaning and dusting fixtures, ash urns, walls, linen rooms, signs, sconces, stairwells, doorframes, public telephones, etc.
  • Transporting clean and soiled linens to and from guest floors
  • Delivering housekeeping items to rooms as requested
  • Maintaining all housekeeping storage areas
  • Rotating mattresses
  • Polishing chrome and other materials requiring special care
  • Cleaning offices at the hotel and other buildings
  • Communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • Available to work up to 40 hours per week in a variety of shifts including early mornings and weekends
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Minimum 6 months housekeeping/janitorial experience
  • Energetic, highly motivated
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record Check
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication
  • A commitment to continually increase your knowledge of our products and services
  • A willingness to learn, develop, and achieve new skills for personal and professional development
