The opportunity

As a Tax Staff, you will be part of our Global Compliance and Reporting Group. Our model provides our people with the skills and knowledge to tackle significant challenges in taxation. You’ll gain insight into our business and build a network of relationships in the field of tax.

Your key responsibilities

Your role offers you the opportunity to combine corporate tax work with structured and virtual learning. You'll gain work experience in tax compliance, tax accrual reviews, tax provisions, and tax planning. Our team focuses on domestic corporate income taxation, implementing tax strategies that align with client objectives.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Contribute to client satisfaction by providing quality, timely services and work products.
  • Understand increasingly complex tax concepts.
  • Discuss moderately complex tax issues with the engagement team and client management.
  • Stay informed of current tax developments and apply tax knowledge to client situations.
  • Prepare corporate tax returns.
  • Audit tax provisions.
  • Share tax planning ideas with others.
  • Participate in and contribute to team goals.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or a related field; or a diploma in accounting with relevant experience.
  • A passionate interest in developing Canadian income tax knowledge.
  • Exceptional PC proficiency including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to manage time and ensure timely completion of client service.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • A desire to work in an environment with daily learning opportunities.
