Summary
We are recruiting for first year Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering Technology Summer Students to work in a Control Panel Technician (Control Panel assembly) role on our Solutions Manufacturing team, in Calgary. Reporting to the Manager, Solutions Centre, you will assist with the assembly of custom-built Control Panels.
Role and Responsibilities
Produce customized control panels in accordance with customer blueprints/drawings (training provided):
- Mount and wire electrical components
- Install pneumatic devices complete with SST tubing
- Panel layout and installation
- Red-line fabrication drawings
- Perform quality work in compliance with CSA Standards
Qualifications and Skills
- Current 1st year Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering Technology student
- Mechanical aptitude
- Basic use of hand tools skills
- Ability to read electrical/pneumatic blueprints/drawings an asset
- Basic wiring and/or tubing skills an asset
- Customer service oriented
- Strong communication, time management and multi-tasking skills
- Team player with sound work principles
- Detail oriented
- Entrepreneurial work ethic
- Physical requirements: capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.; standing for long periods
