CWS Logistics is looking to hire a Forklift Operator.

Responsibilities

  • Unloading and loading trailers.
  • Able to match documentation for receiving and shipping with the products.
  • Efficient order picking and able to follow the company process.
  • Efficient in stacking heights of up to 25 feet.
  • Responsible for securing load and understanding load securement method.
  • Carry out pre and post-trip inspections of the forklift and accurately document damages.
  • Occasionally perform light maintenance on the forklift.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures as well as industry standards.
  • Comply and participate with Canada Labour Code Part II (health and safety regulations) and AWSA program.
  • Report product defects & damages with adjoining documentation.
  • Report near misses and accidents.
  • Collection of empty chemical drums and totes on behalf of our customers.
  • Perform duties of a laborer.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by the manager.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a forklift operator.
  • Ability to work long hours and odd weekends during a busy season.
  • Excellent focus and attention to detail.
  • Ability to write and do basic math calculations.
  • Ability to work as a team and independently.
  • Extensive knowledge of forklift mechanical parts and operations.
  • Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations.
  • Working knowledge of Apple devices and IOS.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to pallet jack 1000 kg pallets of product.
  • Ability to climb trailers, tankers, railcars, stairs, and ladders.

TDG, WHMIS, and Forklift certification were obtained.
