HOURS OF WORK:

Work is generally performed in an office environment, as well as, in patient care areas and meeting rooms. Hours of work are weekdays. Additional hours will be required to meet workload demands during peak times. Schedule can be flexible to meet these demands and can incorporate remote work.

Approximate # of Hours per week: 37.5

Type of Shifts: Hours of work are Monday to Friday, daytime hours

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Quality Improvement Program Support Partner (PSP) coordinates and facilitates initiatives to improve patient experience, safety, outcomes, access and integration. This is achieved by guiding teams through systems level evaluations of current processes to identify opportunities for improvement. As a leader in the development and promotion of best practice in quality improvement, the PSP will expertly support the application of quality improvement, change management, and project management tools to advance a culture of continuous improvement in collaboration with point of care staff, leadership, physicians, and patients and families.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required - Degree in health care related field or equivalent preferred.
  • Master’s degree considered an asset.
  • Formal training (certification preferred) in improvement methodologies (Quality Improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, Change Management, Process Improvement, Project Management), leadership, or project management.

Who You Are:

  • 3-5 years experience in acute health care setting, quality improvement role or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in Quality Improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to provide service excellence for staff, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Proven experience implementing continuous improvement strategies at direct customer level, combined with the ability to explain it in layman's terms.
  • Excellent problem solving, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to engage, integrate, and consider multiple stakeholder perspectives.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects at a time.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills and experience.
  • Skilled in the use of MS Office, and project management/planning/tracking tools.
  • Ability to work well independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Understanding and ability to provide learning through adult education strategies.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education.
  • Experience with performance measurement, data reporting, and analysis.
  • Experience developing and analyzing customer experience surveys.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Demonstrated facilitation, team building, and coordination skills to achieve the successful implementation of change initiatives.
  • Proven leadership skills and an ability to inspire colleagues to engage in quality improvement and build a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of Accreditation Canada Standards, Required Organizational Practices and experience leading teams in preparation for surveys.
  • Experience with waste reduction, standardized work, value-stream mapping, just in time production, 5s, inventory reduction, etc.
  • Advanced process analysis and design expertise.
  • Experience using Epic; Epic Credentialed Trainer status considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, work autonomously, oversee multiple competing projects, and work collaboratively within an interprofessional team environment.
