Progressive Automations is looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Richmond team.

The Senior Business Systems Analyst focuses on enhancing operational efficiency by simplifying system architecture and automating processes while developing innovative solutions. This role ensures seamless technology integration with business strategies, emphasizing continuous improvement and leveraging AI to drive system enhancements and innovative practices.

Key Responsibilities

System Architecture and Design:

Design and maintain systems that align with business goals, focusing on simplifying workflows and enhancing automation.

Requirements Gathering

Lead meetings with different departments and conduct interviews to gather comprehensive requirements and define project scope.

Data Analysis

Analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement, evaluating problems, and understanding market trends.

Custom Reporting

Build custom reports tailored to meet specific business needs and provide insights that drive performance improvements.

Solution Development Support

Participate in the solution development lifecycle, focusing on requirements gathering, quality assurance, and successful implementation.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with management and other stakeholders to ensure business needs and objectives are met.

Specifications Translation

Convert functional specifications into detailed technical specifications for the development team.

System Integrations

Ensure effective integration with ERP NetSuite, NetSuite Analytics, Shopify, Amazon, TMS, Inventory Planning, and CMS systems.

Utilize AI to enhance and optimize current systems and processes.

Third-party Developer Coordination

Collaborate with external developers to execute solutions effectively, ensuring alignment with business processes and objectives.

Process Documentation

Document processes clearly to support ongoing operations, training, and future system enhancements.

IT Support

Troubleshoot software and hardware issues.

Manage Windows Office365 Premium licenses and access.

Manage and maintain all cloud-based network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers, and VPNs.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, and associated analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms like Shopify and Amazon.
  • Basic knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and inventory planning tools.
  • Proficiency with API utilization, workflows, and scripting.
  • Experience in leveraging AI technologies to improve business systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Self-starter with a passion for IT and integrations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business systems analysis or a related role.
  • Experience with system integration and process improvement initiatives.
