Minimum Requirements:
Current enrollment in an undergraduate Geology, Geophysics, Earth Sciences or a related program at an accredited post-secondary institution
Note: Geology student roles start in May 2025
You must be returning to full-time studies after the work term

- Review geological data (geophysical and petrophysical logs, core descriptions, and seismic)
- Integrate subsurface data to create various interpretive products including, cross sections, seismic sections, and subsurface maps to characterize interval(s) of interest
- Collaborate with and provide technical support to the integrated subsurface team
- Update and maintain geologic records associated with aggregate exploration programs
- Provide daily geological technical assistance including daily field monitoring and activities of all aggregate faces, as well as daily reporting of aggregate geological information
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support short range plans by communicating model or geologic deviations from the plan and by adjusting shovel dig locations as required
- Complete field investigation programs as required to increase understanding of a particular area’s geologic anomalies
- Synthesize findings into summary reports
- This is a 8, 12 or 16 month work term starting in May 2025
- This role is located in Fort McMurray (Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo)
- Relocation support will be provided if required
- Students who live and work in Fort McMurray are eligible for a cash allowance to address the cost of living and the remote nature of the region
