Reporting to the SR. Director of Marketing, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Director, Food & Beverage Marketing to lead and develop marketing strategies for our portfolio of restaurants, including under the Freehand Hospitality brand. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding the execution of social and digital marketing strategies, mentoring a team, and ensuring all ongoing campaigns and promotions align with the overall business objectives. You will drive the development and execution of marketing plans, foster collaborations, manage PR initiatives, and create memorable events that elevate the brands.
Work Schedule: This role is based in our fully in-office environment, with standard working hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. However, given the nature of the food & beverage industry, several events and meetings may occur outside these hours. The Associate Director will be responsible for managing flexible hours to accommodate these occasions.
As an Associate Director of Social and Digital Marketing, you will be responsible for:
Strategic Leadership & Execution:
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies across all restaurants.
- Lead and guide social media, digital marketing, and PR initiatives to drive brand visibility and engagement.
- Analyze market trends, campaign performance, and customer feedback to make data-driven decisions that refine marketing approaches.
- Ensure all campaigns are aligned with the business’s long-term vision and brand identity.
External Vendor & Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors, consultants, media, and industry professionals to ensure effective execution of marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with PR agencies, media outlets, photographers, and content creators to enhance brand exposure and support campaign success.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors for events, promotional materials, and digital services, ensuring high-quality deliverables and value for money.
- Maintain active engagement with industry professionals and media to build partnerships and stay ahead of market trends.
Annual Planning & Campaign Development:
- Build and manage yearly marketing calendars for each restaurant, including potential collaborations, pop-up events, and promotional partnerships.
- Lead the development and execution of large-scale events, collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
- Execute cross-functional initiatives, ensuring marketing efforts are aligned with the company's broader goals and other assets.
Content & Digital Marketing Oversight:
- Oversee the creation of high-quality content for social media, digital campaigns, and PR, ensuring it aligns with each restaurant's unique brand identity.
- Guide the organization and execution of photoshoots, video production, and other content initiatives to support marketing goals.
- Monitor and report on the performance of social and digital marketing efforts, adjusting strategies as needed.
Event Strategy & Execution:
- Develop innovative event marketing strategies that drive guest engagement and brand recognition.
- Collaborate with restaurant managers and chefs to plan and execute signature events, pop-ups, and partnerships that reinforce brand values.
- Manage and assist with the strategy and execution of large-scale events and promotional activities.

- Proven experience in marketing leadership, particularly in the food & beverage or hospitality industries.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful marketing campaigns across digital and traditional advertising outlets.
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and guiding marketing teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and work with senior management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and campaigns, balancing day-to-day marketing activities with long-term strategy.
- Flexibility to work additional hours for events and promotions when needed.
