Palliser School Division invites applications from certificated teachers for a 0.5 FTE part-time, probationary Off-Campus Teacher within the Division. The position will commence February 3, 2025 (or a date mutually agreeable) to June 26, 2025. The Off Campus Teacher is an integral member of the Palliser School Division, and will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Learning, and will be expected to travel between Palliser Schools and employers’ business sites in the community. The Off Campus Coordinator represents the Palliser School Division in the community and has a responsibility to act on behalf of the school division.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with administrators and teachers to gain insight as to how each Palliser school executes their off-campus programs and how they can assist with these off-campus opportunities;

Develop and maintain contacts with business and industry in the community;

Build and oversee Off Campus programs including Dual Credit, Work Experience, Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) and Green Certificate;

Oversee student safety protocols/procedures to ensure that students are working in a safe and respectful work environment;

Ensure that all work agreements or contracts have been signed by the student, the student's parent/guardian, the employer and the school authority designee;

Track data to inform instructional practice and program effectiveness to make informed decisions about off campus programs.

Experience & Qualifications

Alberta Teaching Certificate;

Previous experience administering learning curriculums;

Successful Criminal Reference Check, including vulnerable sectors (within 3 months of contract start date).

In order to maintain a safe and secure working environment, applicants new to The Palliser School Division must provide:

Criminal Record Check, including vulnerable sector check from Local Police Service or RCMP detachment;

Social Insurance Number (SIN) card or document issued by Service Canada; SIN card/document must be in current legal name. Name on SIN card/document must match your Government Issued ID and Criminal Record Check;

Government issued ID - valid driver's license, valid passport or Nexus card.
