The Role
We are recruiting an experienced Business Development Associate to grow our Maintenance, Shut-down, Outage, and Turnaround portfolio. This position can be based in either our Edmonton or Calgary office. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the role involves growing the business segment and maintaining relationships with existing clients, requiring travel within Canada up to 40% of the time.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Manage business development through networking, cold calling, and researching; expand and maintain client relationships.
- Attend trade shows and events to stay updated on industry trends.
- Maintain a list of target customers using Salesforce CRM.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Develop sales strategies with senior leaders and the Maintenance and Turnarounds Manager.
- Create online, email, and social media sales campaigns.
- Promote the OCL brand through community engagement and events.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal departments for promotional materials.
Education/Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Business Administration with a focus on marketing or management preferred.
- 5+ years' business development/sales experience in construction required.
- Sales experience in maintenance, turnaround, outage, and shutdown work preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM an asset.
- Effective communicator with all organizational levels.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and drive to exceed targets.
- Understanding of sales and marketing tools and strategies.
- Strong negotiating and listening skills.
- Class 5 driver’s license with reliable transportation.
- Able to travel up to 40% of the time.
- Good computer skills, e.g., Google Drive and related tools.
- Experience with Canva an asset.
- Adept in creating content for various media platforms.
