We partner closely with Product, Product Marketing, and Growth teams to ensure our brand is cohesive, consistent, and impactful across app, web, email, and beyond.

We’re seeking a Senior Brand Designer to help shape the visual identity of Affirm’s consumer communications and product experiences. This role will be pivotal in designing thoughtful, delightful, and cohesive experiences that bring clarity to our customers at key moments in their journey with Affirm. As part of this role, you’ll have a chance to build scalable design systems, partner across teams, and push creative boundaries to elevate Affirm’s brand presence.

  • Drive the visual strategy and execution of Affirm’s consumer-facing communications across web, email, app, and other product experiences.
  • Uphold a high standard of visual design, ensuring every communication is thoughtful, clear, and visually delightful.
  • Partner with Partner Marketing Managers to craft product campaigns and experiences to ensure they are visually engaging, cohesive, and reinforce Affirm’s brand narrative.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Research, Content Design, Product Management, Product Marketing, Brand and Compliance & Legal to execute delightful user experiences.
  • Be agile about providing context and incorporating feedback from Affirmers at all levels – engaging with teams across Affirm to educate, inform, and answer questions.

What We Look For

  • 5+ years experience in brand or visual design, communications design, or product design roles.
  • This position requires either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • A compelling portfolio showcasing a diverse range of strong visual designs, including branded campaigns, illustrations, motion design, responsive web design, and marketing collateral — with an emphasis on concept development and thoughtful execution.

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Lottiefiles, Spline.
  • Comfort in ambiguity: you are able to self-direct, prioritize, and clearly communicate with stakeholders in shifting environments.
  • Attention to detail – meticulous when it comes to typography, grids, balance, and white space.
  • Can distill complex ideas and processes into clear, actionable guidance for a wide range of stakeholders. You are willing to push and fight for an idea, while able to listen and problem solve as a team player.
  • Animation and motion graphic skills a strong advantage.
  • Experience with consumer finance and/or payments.
  • Technical understanding of how to build and architect design systems.
