Procurement Specialist

Are you a procurement specialist with service experience, looking to diversify your experience within a reputable company?

Agilus is recruiting for a Procurement Specialist in the oil and gas industry in a hybrid work environment in Edmonton, Alberta.

This position is a 12 month contract that may have the potential to be extended.

Accountabilities

• Work collaboratively with Strategic Sourcing group to identify competitive goods, suppliers and other cost savings opportunities
• Proactively generate cost savings through supplier negotiation of existing contracts and competitive bids
• Issuing and approving purchase orders
• Completing vendor plant visits, site visits, and inspections as required
  
  

Successful Candidates Will Have

• 5+ years of experience in procurement
• Experience with complex service contracts
• Procurement experience in either oil & gas or utilities
• Experience handling multiple RFP's simultaneously
• Working experience in Oracle, advanced excel, and SharePoint
  
  

Soft Skills

• A collaborative and team oriented mindset
• A self starter who can jump in quickly in terms of learning new processes
