You will join us on our fantastic journey from our manufacturing and office facility, located in Edmonton Canada. This position reports to the Senior Accountant and is a part of a great team, with the ambition to support, challenge and develop each other on a daily basis.

In The Role Of Administrative Assistant

Your mission will include being the first point of contact for company visitors and customers to set the tone for our internal and external relationships with your positive demeanor, professional appearance and attitude. Provide administrative support to the entire team, answer incoming calls, direct them to the appropriate team member, manage tasks such as correspondence, filing, sorting mail, meeting room preparations, and arranging lunch for both facility events and meetings.

Your Profile

You have a deep knowledge, excellent understanding and experience of:

  • Proven experience in an office setting and performing your work with tact, diplomacy, calmness and being discrete.
  • Assisting with various administrative tasks such as copying, scanning, filing, and previous experience with an ERP system.
  • Supporting a finance team with A/P and A/R data entry tasks.
  • Processing bi-weekly and monthly payroll, working with an external payroll vendor (PayWorks).
  • Supporting HR with local recruitment efforts, onboarding which includes benefit and RSP enrollments.
  • Supports the Time & Attendance system, answering questions from the managers and employees and verifying timecards are approved by managers before submitting time to the payroll vendor.
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies and order as needed.
  • This list in not all inclusive and may include other duties as assigned and necessary for the operation and management of the business.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years' experience working in an office environment, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Previous experience with basic accounting tasks
  • Previous experience with a T&A system and processing payroll
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English language
  • Willing and able to work on-site
  • Relocation is not being offered for the position
