Fort Garry Industries is opening a second branch in Edmonton at 13075 25 St NE , and we have an exciting opportunity for Parts Counter Sales Representatives to join our team at our new Edmonton East location.

What You Will Do

  • Uphold and embody FGI Customer Service Standards and Core Values with customers, colleagues and stakeholders
  • Champion FGI's safety culture by performing all duties within established procedures and practices
  • As an industry expert you will sell aftermarket heavy duty parts to customers and build long lasting customer relationships
  • Optimize each transaction by advising on products, product applications, returns, warranty claims and special orders to meet all customer needs
  • Answer customer questions about products, prices, availability, product catalogs and features
  • Assist with cash and/or national accounts
  • Follow company procedures for sales pricing, processing approved credits, invoicing and freight billing for customers and/or product defects
  • Complete online training as needed and champion brand lines or products
  • May be assigned special projects
  • May deliver parts to customers with a company vehicle
  • May operate a forklift within the branch
  • Other duties as assigned

What We Require:

  • High school diploma or other high school equivalence certificate
  • 1-5 years of experience selling heavy duty parts preferred and/or knowledge of HD trucks or agricultural industry
  • MUST be able to meet the physical requirements: Able to lift parts upwards of 50 lbs, use ladders at varying heights, frequent walking in large warehouse
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills – dedicated to exceeding the expectations of internal and external customers.
  • Strong written and verbal skills – ability to write and speak succinctly with customers and colleagues.
  • Basic to proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (email, word, excel) and ability to learn in-house systems.
  • Completion of parts technician trades program an asset
