Job Description:
The Business Governance & Controls (BG&C) team embeds a strong culture of risk and compliance in everything we do. Through our work, we support the broader organization of Retail Advice & Solutions (RA&S) in realizing our company vision of helping our clients achieve lifetime financial security and live healthier lives with tailored advice and solutions through their channel of choice.
The BG&C team supports the overall development and maintenance of advisor business practices and standards that align with regulatory requirements and our business priorities. We aim to deliver solutions that enhance operating efficiency, effectively manage risk and enhance advisor and client experiences.
What will you do?
- Support Sun Life’s compliance with risk requirements including tracking, updating, recording and reporting on various programs
- Analyze, identify and investigate trends, insights, anomalies as part of the monthly reporting activities.
- Contribute to the development of new reports to support oversight and monitoring of newly-implemented risk and regulatory initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to implement systems and process solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness within upcoming or existing programs.
- Triage group mailboxes, ensuring timely responses
What do you need to succeed?
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong Excel skills (V-lookup, pivot tables)
- Experience with VBA (macros) is an asset
- Experience with MS Office Suite, i.e., PowerPoint, SharePoint
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational, time-management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program either in business, computer science, mathematics or equivalent
- Experience and knowledge in regulatory standards and practices, risk management, mutual fund or insurance is an asset
- Relevant experience in an analytical or project management role is an asset
