Job Summary:
This position will support the Lead HR Business partner, in a fast paced Global Corporate Banking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting:
- Run MUFG Engagement survey data reports for each department and for the Branch. Conduct analysis to identify areas of opportunity and work with the HRBP Lead to support the action planning process for various departments.
- Ensure HR data integrity in all reporting and analytics conducted.
- Oversee the updating and posting of monthly organizational charts that is conducted by the HR Administrator.
- Create HR Dashboard using Tableau; analyze and report metrics related to recruitment, turnover, and other employee data.
HR Initiatives:
- Support the collaboration and implementation of Regional COE and local Human Resource (HR) initiatives as well as processes into the Branch. HR initiatives include but not limited to DEI and career development initiatives.
- Support the delivery of key annual HR processes including but not limited to annual review process, performance management, talent management and employee engagement survey.
- Work in partnership with colleagues to support the implementation of projects at a branch level where required.
HR Advisory:
- Work closely with HRBP Canada Lead to provide sound HR advice to the Business Unit to support decision making on HR issues including but not limited to recruitment, termination of employment, organizational change, performance management and reward.
- Work closely with HRBP Canada Lead in maintaining strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders.
HR Risk and Regulatory Compliance Management:
- Document and evidence regulatory compliance on the organization's regulatory compliance management platform (Resolver)
- Liaise with Risk and Compliance to clarify risk and compliance requirements and expectations, in order to communicate such to HR colleagues and to strengthen Resolver inputs.
- Compile data for regular risk reporting.
- Discuss emerging compliance issues with VP, HR and VP, CCAO.
- Keep informed regarding pending industry changes, trends, relevant laws and regulations to assess the impact of such changes on organizational processes.
- Ensure all HR practices and processes are in compliance with internal procedure and regulatory requirements.
- Comply with all HR policies and procedures and discuss possible updates with HRBP Lead on any items that may require adjustments.
- Work with HRBP Lead to gather audit data points that are requested for internal and external audit.
Other Responsibilities:
- Participate in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee to suggest new ideas to fundraise and help host events throughout the year and particularly for the Season of Giving.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Technical Skills:
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
Experience & Abilities:
- 5-7 years' experience within Human Resources, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Solid understanding of banking regulatory policies and procedures, including labour and employment laws, both federal and provincial.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders in Canada, the US and globally.
- Ability to readily organize information and to quickly assess situations in order to propose optimal solutions.
Education & Training:
- Human Resources Bachelor's Degree.
- Preference for candidates with or working towards CHRP or CPHR certifications.
