Skills And Responsibilities
We are seeking one or more geological or civil engineering co-op students to assist engineering staff in our Canadian Hydro Group at our North Vancouver office for a four or eight month work term commencing May 2025. This temporary position offers the opportunity to work with experienced engineers and hydrogeologists, and exposure to wide variety of project activities that may include:
Willingness to learn and take on challenging assignments (some involving travel), along with excellent work habits and communication skills, are essential. A valid driver’s license is also required.

Additional Information
To meet the physical demands required of some positions, candidates must be in good physical condition and willing to work in all weather conditions. Clearance on pre-placement medical and drug and alcohol testing may be required.

Skills And Responsibilities

- Pit slope depressurization and pit dewatering design for operating and proposed mines;
- Groundwater component of environmental impact assessment for proposed mines;
- Assessment and mitigation of potential environmental impacts for mining operations;
- Groundwater assessments in support of water supply, waste disposal, and support with regulatory requirements;
- Well design and construction;
- Regional aquifer assessments;
- Construction dewatering design for civil and industrial infrastructure development; and
- Development and implementation of groundwater monitoring programs for mines, landfills and contaminated sites.
Willingness to learn and take on challenging assignments (some involving travel), along with excellent work habits and communication skills, are essential. A valid driver’s license is also required.
