Reporting to the Atlantic Region Manager, the Deskside Support Student supports the business unit’s operational needs. Individuals in this position must understand the latest concepts in the information technology field and possess great client service skills.

What you’ll do
- Desktop computer imaging and deployment
- Service Ticket entry and assignment
- Problem resolution
- Inventory management
- End-user assistance
- Communicating/working with the local users as well as the corporate IT department
Who you are
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa)
- Available to begin work in May 2025
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft environment
- Strong verbal communications skills
- Critical thinker and ability to work independently with limited supervision in a fast-paced, high-performing team environment
- Flexible to changing work demands and ability to prioritize
- Innovative, with a strong desire to learn and the ability to encourage new ways of looking at problems, processes, or solutions

Education
- Must be enrolled in an Information Technology (IT) or Computer Systems Engineering Technical Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term
- Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered
- New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
Working Conditions
- May include frequency of travel, sitting, standing, computer work, lifting, driving, working at site, etc.
