What you’ll do
NATURE AND SCOPE OF WORK
This is administrative, clerical and reception work in support of the priorities of the Centre for International Experience. The incumbent is primarily responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations and performing support tasks for the area, which includes customer service to students, faculty, and the general public; processing international student applications; and providing support for marketing, recruitment, student activities, and agent processing.
ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
- Facilitates communication and arrangements between the university and potential students, current students, and faculty. Assists in the recruitment and retention of international students and promotion of activities, including answering enquiries, preparing brochures, and coordinating mailings.
- Assists with admission and registration by creating, maintaining, and tracking student files; arranging for student testing, assessments, and interviews; providing procedural information; and tracking admissions using the student registration system.
- Evaluates, scans, and barcodes documents, processes medical insurance forms, and follows up with students on outstanding documents.
What you’ll bring
REQUIRED TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Completion of one year of post-secondary education in applied business technology or business administration.
- Two years of related administrative support experience, including experience in an educational setting.
- Fluency in one of the following languages: Russian, Portuguese, Arabic, or another language consistent with current international student recruitment trends.

Days and Hours of Work
Our standard work week is Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm, including possible evenings and weekends based on departmental needs.
Salary
$4268 per month based on 35 hours per week (with increments up to $4796).
