What will your typical day look like?

As an SAP HR professional, you will be part of a collaborative team that spans across Canada. Your main responsibilities will involve engaging with the clients directly and analyzing HR technology issues faced by them and developing effective solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of SAP Payroll functionality, as well as a strong knowledge of Payroll processes. You will leverage your expertise to ensure that our clients' initiatives are effectively supported by the applicable SAP Payroll platform, driving employee engagement and organizational growth. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating functional design documents and workbooks, configuring the system, conducting comprehensive testing to ensure accuracy and functionality, and developing support models to meet current and future business needs. Your involvement will extend throughout the entire implementation lifecycle of SAP HCM projects, allowing you to effectively manage our clients' needs. You will also have the opportunity to work on multifunctional teams that bring together the unparalleled breadth and depth of our professional services, truly operating as one Deloitte.

About the team

Deloitte’s Canadian SAP Human Resources Transformation team is a growing practice with 50 consultants located across the country. Together with our global consultants, we proudly serve clients in Canada and around the world. We are recognized by industry analysts as the World’s Leading HR Transformation Practice. Training and certification are very important to us. We have consultants skilled in all facets of Human Resources Management: Absence Management, Benefits, Compensation, Human Resources, Payroll, Recruiting, and Talent Management. We are also trained all along our careers in our Deloitte Project Tools and Methodologies. Enough about us, let’s talk about you

  • You have 3+ years of hands-on experience in implementing SAP Payroll, either in SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, or SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll. Ideally would also have experience with SAP Benefits Management and/or SAP Time Management.
  • Familiarity with SAP Payroll interfaces and integrations with other SAP modules and third party integrations.
  • Experience in at least one end-to-end implementation of either SAP ECC Payroll, SAP S/4HANA Payroll and/or SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll. Preferred experience in end-to-end implementations of Benefits Management, HR Core, or Time Management.
  • Effectively communicate with clients, understand their requirements, and translate them into system configurations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively handle and prioritize multiple tasks, even in situations where priorities may change.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members within the project and the organization.
  • Ability to develop and educate junior team members on both technical and consulting soft skills.
  • Flexible to travel to the client site or into the Deloitte local office.
  • Flexibility to provide coverage in the client's time zone, extending support beyond your own time zone.
  • Required: SAP HCM Payroll for SAP S/4HANA Associate or higher certification and/or SAP SuccessFactors for Employee Central Payroll Associate or higher certification.

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $84,000 - $175,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
