Gr 5/6 Teacher - Bear Creek Elementary

1.0 FTE Gr. 5/6 assignment at Bear Creek Elementary School ending June 30, 2025 or return of incumbent (teacher who owns the position). This position will earn the successful candidate a continuing contract with the district.

Bear Creek Elementary is an inner-city/community school in the Newton/Fleetwood area. Bear Creek Elementary has a District Breakfast and Lunch Program, and is a StrongStart site. Bear Creek Elementary has a high ELL and Indigenous population of students. Responding to Readers and Early Literacy is a focus.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education
• Valid BC Teaching Certificate

Salary range is $59,711 to $109,520, with placement on the range based on length of service, FTE, and qualifications in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
