About the Opportunity
The Analysts reports to Managers within the Corporate Reporting, Budget, Payroll, Accounts Receivable, and Financial Analytics departments and are responsible to provide analytical support to corporate activities serviced by the finance portfolio (Budget, Variance Analysis, Forecasting, Reporting, etc.), transactional processing centers (Accounts Receivable, Payroll, etc.) and support to Nova Scotia Health leaders (Directors, Managers, Physician Leaders, etc.). Under the direction of the manager or coordinator/supervisor, the analysts will be assigned accountability for analytical work to day to day work and strategic initiates. The Analyst is responsible for the creation, management and dissemination of accurate and timely reports and analysis for their department/service/zone.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Graduate of a recognized post-secondary business and/or accounting program required
- Undergraduate business degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years strong management and/or functional system experience and knowledge of budget, corporate reporting, general accounting, financial analytics required
- Enrolment or completion of accounting designation considered an asset
- Possesses a solid understanding of the payroll process and key performance indicators
- Strong knowledge of all legislative
- Excellent collaboration, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual thinking skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of finance and Payroll practices, government legislation,
- Highly knowledgeable of SAP functionality for both Finance and Payroll processes.
- Experience in engaging, mentoring and empowering teams and stakeholders in a collaborative manner
- Strong analytical skills and strong conflict resolution skills
- Efficiently delegates the issues to the team members
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
- x2 Permanent, full-time positions, 75 hrs bi-weekly
Compensation and Benefits
$33.14 - $41.42 Hourly
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
