Position Overview
Health Care Aids are integral to the interdisciplinary medical and mental health team providing healthcare services to marginalized populations and their families in this non-hospital client setting. As a valued member of this team, you will be responsible for providing services to diverse individuals experiencing a wide range of medical and mental health concerns.
Location: Surrey, BC
Job Type: Casual, Part Time
This role is well suited to individuals who are interested in making a difference for a vulnerable population and are capable of working autonomously within their scope of practice. This position is casual in nature, up to part-time hours, offering you the opportunity to respond to urgent client needs as they arise.
Rate: $19-29 / hr
Qualifications
- Must be registered and in good standing with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry
- Must have certificate or diploma from a recognized Health Care Aid / Assistant program
- Have minimum 1 year experience performing the following tasks:
- Assisting with daily living activities
- Monitoring well-being and safety
- Providing mobility and social support
- Observing and reporting changes to medical resources
- You must be able to obtain a Government of Canada Security Clearance at the Reliability level
- You must be able to obtain a Vulnerable Sector police check

- A security clearance and/or vulnerable sector screening might be required for this position.
