Job Summary:
Join Central 1’s Accounting Operations team, responsible for maintaining a stable finance infrastructure and ensuring the integrity of financial data and controls. This team handles key accounting activities, including data reconciliation, project accounting, and managing finance technology systems.
What you'll be doing:
- Support leadership in executing core payroll, accounts payable, and reconciliation activities in line with Central 1 policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify issues, develop solutions, and optimize processes.
- Prepare T4s, T4As, T2200s, and other tax filings with accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure payroll remittances are accurate and employee files are up-to-date.
- Liaise with HR on benefits and pensions for employees on leave.
- Stay updated on payroll legislation and recommend necessary changes to procedures.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end tasks within deadlines.
- Support accounts payable processing and provide analysis on ad-hoc queries.
- Collaborate with business units to drive internal process improvements.
What you'll have:
- Experience with core financial systems, including Workday ERP
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills
- Completion of the Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) certification and at least 2 years of relevant experience
- Agile mindset with a focus on continuous professional growth and collaboration
- Proactive, team-oriented approach to driving process improvements
- Committed to delivering precise and efficient financial operations
Salary Range: $63,000-$74,000
