Purpose:
The summer student will work closely with the Cost Control team to help improve overall functionality and needs of all employees within Crescent Point. The summer student will gain knowledge in cost control procedures as well as oil and gas experience.
Main Responsibilities & Activities:
- Review and provide proper coding for drilling and completion invoices
- Research and resolve accounts payable issues with vendors
- Perform cost analysis on wells to provide information on supplemental AFE’s for the drilling and completion engineers
- Assist with special projects as required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Working towards a degree or diploma, preferably in Business Administration, Commerce or Accounting, is required
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and software would be an asset
- General knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry would be an asset
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required
- Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required
- Team player who enjoys learning and contributing to team goals
